Last year I wrote a blog post about my sweet husband and all of the Valentines Days we had shared up until that point. That post is here.
Like I mentioned last year, Badi and I never go overboard for V-Day. We usually don't buy each other gifts. We almost never go out on V-Day (so overrated!). We really don't even buy each other days. If anything, we usually make something. Make a gift. Make a card. Make dinner for the other person. Or, go out a few days before or after V-Day.
I don't need a special day for him to shower me with love and affection. He does a great job with that all of the other 364 days of the year. Hopefully he feels the same about me. :) So, when I do get a gift or we go out, or I get flowers - I'm even more excited, surprised and caught off guard. That's why this year I was reeeeeeally surprised with my gift.
It started last night when we actually got to go out to dinner. My sweet parents watched the boys so we could go to Outback. Afterwards, we got Smoothie King for dessert and went to ToysRUs to pick up Jacob's birthday present. It was such a perfect night with my husband. All of that was such a treat, that, I was surprised when I got this as just one more small gift...
I got an iPhone!!!! Obviously that type of a gift in itself is huge. But, it's even more of a big deal as this is my very first 'smart' phone. In my 13 years of having a cellphone, I've never had a phone that does more than make calls, text and take pictures. Ha. I'm excited to be entering 2012 with the rest of the world. :) Last year, Badi bought me an iPod Touch when I had Noah. (Basically like an iPhone, but, without the phone capabilities...or, the ability to use it outside of the house or somewhere with wifi). And ultimately, it's become more of Jacob's toy than my own. So, this is so so so exciting and I can't wait to start using it.
Thanks again honey. So lucky to have you as my Valentine for life. Happy V-Day, everyone!! :)

Wow, that's awesome! Don't worry about being behind, I don't even have a cell phone :)
Yay! Happy Valentines day...I have a droid, but everyone says such awesome things about the IPHONE I am sure you will love it :) xoxo
Jalei!! You don't have a cell phone?? How is that possible? I guess you just use email and a house phone. More power to ya. I'm not sure I could do it. Although, the thought of it does sound pretty freeing! :)
Thanks Becky. I've heard a lot of great things about droids, too. Mostly, that they're faster than iphones! Ha. Sorry your V-Day was so rough. :(
