I'm proud to report that after 3 weeks, I'm still going strong with my resolutions!! Here was the post with all of them written out.
I've been waking up early and working out about 5 times a week. I've already noticed a big change in my body and lost some weight. I've had a lot more energy and feel so great. Can't beat it! :)
I've already read 3 books and started a 4th!
Meal planning is going really well. The last 2 1/2 weeks all of our meals have been planned out and ready to go. It's so nice to not be scrambling at the end of the day for dinner ideas and/or have to run to the grocery store multiple times in the week. In addition to planning out the meals and avoid the aforementioned items, it's also helping us not waste things. We're using more things in our fridge before they go bad and I'm realizing that I have way more in the pantry than I realized! Also, I was pretty bad about rotating the same 5-10 meals over and over. But, once I sat down and wrote down all the things I could make for dinner, I realized my list included over 45 dinners I know how to make and we like. So, now that they're all listed out - I let Badi pick 4 things he wants for the week and I work them into the meal plan. It's giving us a nice variety, too. I love, love, love it!!!
I've been trying to keep a positive outlook and enjoy every moment in the day.
I was going to start writing a few letters, but, I can't find any decent stationary! I went to Office Max, Target and a few other places. The only thing I see is notecards or 5x7 note pads. I was hoping to find 8.5x11 sized paper with a cute background, other than the printable paper. Oh well, I might just start using notebook paper. I'm excited to get started on those.
Our next Mom Time group is getting together on February 2nd. Can't wait!!!
Lastly, in taking a little more time for myself....I FINALLY set up a hair appointment. It had been SO long since I had gone to get my hair done. It was crazy and my hair was getting out of control. It ended up curled and usually in a ponytail every day. I never had time to straighten it or anything. Anyway, it was way overdue. I chopped off a good 6 inches and had it colored to cover up some of the grey that was starting to sprout through. I love how it turned out. :)
I'll check back in again soon to keep myself in check and make sure I'm sticking with them. Now, I just need to set up a date night with my handsome husband!!! :)
