Holy Cowtown.....

Like I mentioned in my last post, my resolution of trying to get into better shape is really going well. I haven't been losing as much weight on the scale as I would have initially thought or hoped for. But, I have really been noticing changes in my body. I'm toning up my midsection, legs and arms. So, to me, that's even better that I can see it all changing.

Well, I just realized I dropped a pant size! I was able to fit into a pair of jeans I bought about a month ago, that was a size (2 sizes smaller than some things!) smaller than everything I've been wearing for the last 9 months since having Noah. Oh, what a GLORIOUS day!!

Spin classes are working really for me. Especially that I'm doing them 5 times a week and combining that with watching what I'm eating. I am so beyond ecstatic that this is finally working with my body and I'm seeing results.

To celebrate my newly-fitting jeans, this afternoon I signed up for the Cowtown 5k in Fort Worth at the end of February. AHHHH! My very first 5k race. I'm so excited. Thankfully, I'll be running with some of my favorite people. My handsome hubby, one of my best friends - Jessica, my brother Jimmy and his girlfriend - Amy. YAY! No turning back now. Money is paid and my name is in. Let the countdown begin to February 25th!

Oh, and would any of you like to volunteer to have a stretcher available for me at the finish line...just in case?? Ha. :)
