Handprint Christmas Ornaments!

Okay, I don't know what my deal is with being super sentimental these days. But, I'm slightly obsessed with trying to preserve everything about Jacob and Noah at this age. Obviously, I'm so thrilled to see them as they continue to grow up. But, on the other hand, I can't get over how fast they're growing up and I know before I know it...they will be teenagers and not wanting to hang out with Mom and Dad anymore. Ugh. :(

Anyway, the violins are done. And, because I'm still obsessed with Pinterest - I've been looking at all kinds of cute crafts with handprints, etc. Like our handprint turkey we made for Thanksgiving.

A while back I found this adorable picture on the site that someone had made of their child's handprint. They used paint and glitter and had their handprint on a clear ornament. I loved it. When I went to Michael's to buy the supplies I found a few other things to make the ornament our own. I had to enlist Badi to help me with Noah's handprint because I knew that would be such a challenge. He loves to clinch his fist and I knew paint would be everywhere. Thankfully, Jacob's was a success the first time we tried. Noah on the other hand, took about 5 tries. But, I was suprised we got a good print.

After the handprints dried, I added their names and the year, along with some ribbon. Here's the finished product. I love how they turned out.

Jacob was so excited to put his special ornament on the tree this year. Now, when anyone comes over, that's one of the first ornaments he likes to show off. :)

Now, I wonder what other cute handprint ideas I can find?!!? Ha. :)

Honey! You are so great with our kids. I know we will look back, and can't believe how fast time went by, but all these crafts create so many memories. You are the best mom!
