Yep, I'm STILL pregnant! I can't believe it. Badi says he knew all along that I wouldn't have any complications this time around and I would easily make it full-term and easily right up to my due date. He was right! I'm 39 weeks today and tomorrow we're scheduled for our c-section. As much as I feel like I've been pregnant for about 2 years now, I also feel like these last 2 months or so have really flown by!
Tuesday was my last full day of work. It was getting harder and harder to sit at a desk every day. I know for some others that are on their feet more, it's equally as hard. But, gosh, it gets so uncomfortable sitting at a desk and having even more pressure on your stomach. So, I'm glad I have a little bit of time leading up to the big day!
Yesterday morning I had to go up to the hospital for my pre-op appointment. I was thinking it would mainly just be to take care of insurance stuff. Man, what a difference when a c-section is planned and not an emergency. I did about 20 minutes of paperwork and insurance junk. Then, I went to another room where I answered a ton of medical questions, took my blood pressure, gave about 6 tubes of blood, got the full rundown of Friday's agenda, got the paperwork to fill out for Noah's birth certificate and even was issued my hospital band. I don't think it really hit me until she put a hospital band on me! Pretty crazy. With Jacob we did all of that while I was in a hospital room.
When it's scheduled ahead of time, they take care of everything in the pre-op appointment. So, tomorrow, we literally will just walk in, go right up to our room, get prepped and go meet our baby! It will be nice to not have to worry about anything at all the day of.
We're going to drop Jacob off at my parents house on the way to the hospital in the morning. Since there is a chance that I might get bumped if there is an urgent c-section that comes up, we're going to just call our parents tomorrow afternoon after the surgery is over. We don't want them to have to wait for a few hours if I'm bumped back. My parents offered to watch Jacob for us this weekend while we're in the hospital. They even offered to just stay at our house since all of Jacob's things (especially his big boy bed!) are here.
We're so excited and ready to meet baby Noah. We can't wait to see if he looks anything like Jacob or looks completely different. We're also really anxious to see how big he is. My Dad has been compiling guesses for his length/weight. Some of them are pretty funny. It's definitely a LARGE range of guesses, so we'll have to wait and see who's closest. :)
If you get a chance tomorrow (Friday), please say a prayer for Noah and I. We just want everything to go as smoothly as possible for both of us and that we have the most uneventful hospital stay known to man. It would be so nice to not have any issues come up and to actually be able to leave the hospital at the same time as our baby! Thanks for all of your love and support these past 39 weeks. We love you all and can't wait to introduce you to our sweet baby boy (#2!). :)
