5 months!

I'm already over halfway done with pregnancy #2. It's crazy how fast this is going by! In a little over 4 months, Jacob's going to be a big brother! I'll have another c-section so I won't go any later than the last week of April. Hopefully I won't have any complications at the end this time around.

So far, everything looks good with this baby! The horrible, horrible heartburn that I had when I was pregnant with Jacob has returned for baby #2. It's so uncomfortable. It started out with spicy or acidic foods that made it flare up like crazy. Now, it's just a flip of a coin to determine what will make my chest and throat catch fire. Blech!!

Other than the ferocious heartburn, things have been going pretty well. I started moving the baby kick a lot. He's pretty active at night when I lay down and right after I eat. Just like Jacob was. :) I'm still tired...a lot. Having trouble getting decent sleep. But, overall, I really can't complain. I still don't know how single parents do it. I have such respect for them. I'm constantly relying on Badi for so many things. Not only him, but, our family helps out a ton with Jacob, too. We're so lucky to have so much support around us.

My next appointment is January 4th. I can't wait to see our sweet baby boy again!

Here was my 4 month picture....

And here's my 5 month picture!

I only have a 2 day work week this week and then I won't go back to work until January 3rd! I love this time of year and I love that my work closes for the holidays. We're going to miss seeing all of our family in Virginia, but, it will be nice to not have to travel. Hope you all have a very merry Christmas! Can't believe it's only 6 days away!!

Ten on Tuesday - 58

Thanks, Chelsea! For hosting another week of Ten on Tuesday. Click her name to check out her blog and/or play along this week!

1. What is your favorite kind of cheese? Mmmmm....cheeeeeeeeese! I LOVE cheese. I love adding it to things and melting it on top. Pasta, sandwiches, burgers (there's no such thing as a burger without cheese for me), mexican food, anything. Or, I could just eat it plain with crackers or have queso and chips. Deeeelish! I think my favorite would have to be colby jack cheese. I know, boring. But, you just can't beat it!

2. Do you prefer fudge with or without nuts? Definitely without. If I'm going to enjoy some chocolate or fudge, I want the real deal. Don't mess around with add-ins!

3. How do you feel about cats? I'm a dog person all the way. Never owned a cat, never wanted to own a cat. Just my personal preference.

4. Meg Ryan or Julia Roberts? Oh gosh, that's so hard. You can't beat how cute Meg Ryan is in You've Got Mail and Sleepless in Seattle. But, then again, I sure love Julia Roberts and all the cute movies she's made. If I had to pick today, I guess I'll lean towards Julia. I don't know who convinced Meg she needed to have her lips blown up. She looks awful. Poor thing was so pretty beforehand...she didn't need it!

mistake........

5. Do you wear a watch? No, I've never worn one. Ever. I wish I could pull it off, but, I think I look ridiculous wearing one. I just stick to my cell phone to tell me the time, or, I have no problem asking someone what time it is.

6. What are a few of your favorite songs from the 90′s? OMG. I looooove 90s music. There were so many classics. I was totally into Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men!!, Backstreet Boys, Ace of Base, NSync, No Doubt, Garth Brooks, Duran Duran. I loved all kinds of music. But, not much beats all of the amazing hiphop songs that my friends and I would belt out in junior high. Baby Got Back, Ice Ice Baby, Gangsta's Paradise, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Gin & Juice, Nothin but a g thang.....yeah, we were those white girls. Haha. :)

7. Do you like scented candles? Heck yes I do. I love candles. What's the purpose of an unscented one anyway?!?! I almost always have one burning in our house. I love vanilla, holiday scents, spiced scents, apple pie, pumpkin, etc. Love them!

8. What do you like on your hamburger? See question #1. Cheese is a must. I've also recently gotten on a huge avocado/guacamole kick on my burgers. Yum! Other than that, just mustard and maybe some lettuce. I don't like mine piled up with too many toppings.

9. How often do you cut your fingernails? Being pregnant and on prenatal vitamins has SIGNIFICANTLY increased the rate of growth on my nails. They grow so fast when I'm pregnant and they're not brittle. When I'm not pregnant, they break so easily and grow so slow. Now, I think I trim them at least once a week.

10. Do you sleep in socks? Very rarely. I only do it during the winter if I'm really cold. I've been known to wake up in the middle of the night just to put some socks on. I definitely prefer to sleep barefoot, though. I feel so restricted with socks!

That's all for this week. Can you believe Christmas is only ELEVEN days away?!?! I guess I should get on the rest of this shopping. I'm so behind! :( Have a great day!!

Baby #2 and other things!

Lately, this have been so hectic and busy. I'm already 19 weeks pregnant with baby #2. Nineteen!!! It's crazy. I feel like we just found out we were expecting again. This poor blog has really suffered lately. Sorry for the lack of posts. I guess I really don't even have a great excuse. I just am so exhausted by the time I get home from work. I barely have enough energy to get my handsome husband and sweet boy some dinner, love and attention. By the time we've all eaten and gotten Jacob ready for bed....Badi and I are ready to follow suit.

I can't imagine how busy and exhausted we'll be when this baby is out of my tummy! Thankfully, we have a lot of family nearby that help out a lot. Thankfully, I have pretty much the best husband on the planet. He's helped TREMENDOUSLY with everything around the house, taking care of Jacob, taking care of me, etc. He's the best and I don't know what I would ever do without him.

Now, on to baby #2 news! This pregnancy, especially in the first few months, was pretty much opposite of my pregnancy with Jacob. I was sick WAY more this time around. A good 4 or so weeks straight of feel sick non-stop, all day. It was awful. I know many other women go through sickness way longer than that...I have no idea how they function! Thankfully, mine slowed down when I hit about 14 weeks. In addition to being way more nauseous, my cravings have been opposite this time. I was really into meat, potatoes, cheese, etc with Jacob. This time around, so far, I've wanted more sweets, lemon/limeades, citrus-y things. My stomach popped out WAY faster this time.I feel like I had a bump as soon as the pregnancy test said 'positive'. I can't even tell you the number of people that came up to me and told me "I can tell just by your stomach, you're definitely having a girl!"

I haven't taken a 5 month shot, I will next week. But, this was my 16 week picture.

Well, we had our sonogram on Tuesday afternoon and got to find out. Here's our sweet baby....

Probably 87% of the people we know guessed that we were having a girl. And all of them were.....

Incorrect. We are blessed with another boy! We couldn't be more happy. All along, even though we both thought it was a girl, we truly just want a healthy baby. It doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl. We're just so thankful to be parents again! I'm actually loving the fact that Jacob will have a little brother to grow up with, teach things and spoil their momma!!!! Haha. ;)

We haven't even thought about names or anything yet. We're excited about the fact that we'll be able to use all of Jacob's things for this baby, too. We saved all of his clothes, toys, etc. It should be fun later on to see the new baby in some of Jacob's clothes and compare the two pictures! :)

Baby Villagomez #2 looked great in the sono pictures and we can't wait to enjoy these next 4 or so months with just Jacob in the house. This week Jacob learned the word "brother" which sounds more like "brudder" ...I know, precious. When we ask him where his brother is, he points to my tummy and kisses it.

Right now, I feel so beyond blessed, I can't even put it into words. I'm trying to soak up every minute and enjoy it all. I know before I know it, both these boys will be driving and not interested in hanging out with Mom and Dad. Thanks to everyone for their love and support so far. We love you all! I'll try to update more often, too. :) :)
